Bokpresentation
“With a goat” is the story about two young people who elfte the security of home for the unknown, on the other side of the world. The author´s parents spent most of their 14 and 12 years respectively in China in the little town, Yungtsi (Yongji), in the province of Shansi (Shanxi) in the northwest of China. They lived most of the time under Japanese occupation and isolated from the world around. They could not return to China but their love for the people and country never ceased.
Anna Haglund Slevin was born in Yungtsi and was four years old when she came to Sweden. She grew up hearing about China, stories she found so interesting that they should not be forgotten. She spent many wonderful hours together with her mother, Frances Haglund, talking about China.
